Sketchbook leaf through. Feb 2016.

I, at last, managed to add the final touches to my February sketchbook. 😊

I call it “my orchid sketchbook”, as I sketched the plant three times in it, one for each bloom, as a recurrent element. That’s why I chose some pink and purple Japanese masking tape to embellish the cover. 😉

I hope you will like to leaf through my sketchbook, enjoying my sketches of the wolf museum, the Brittain coast, of my garden or some urban views, of various objects… and of my orchid, of course! 😝

Here is the video.

Is watching the video OK for you? It seems that it sometimes freeze, especially on a smartphone or tablet, as it is a good quality file… So please tell me! ☺️

I wish you an amazing week end! 😀

  1. How amazing it is to have a look into your sketchbook! Thanks so much 🙂 I love it!
To be honest-I’m not a fan of orchids, but must admit that those you’ve painted are incredible beautiful. But still I prefer yours from the real ones 😉
Well the video are still freezing. I’ve got an iPad tablet, but normally I have no problems watching videos, movies etc. but hey – I will survive. Have a nice weekend 🙂

    • Thank you for your comment, Pernille!
I like orchids (these ones, called Phalenopsis) but I always fear that they could be kitsch, once painted. So, I add a lot of splatters to avoid a tidy tight kitsch look. 😉

I am sorry that the videos freeze on your ipad!…

  2. This is such a wonderful book ! it keeps memories but not the same way as a photo !…. and the fact is that we take so many photos with our digital cam that we don’t always take the time to select and create a book (call me lazy)
Britanny is so full of color and usual objects can be so fun to watch once they are painted !

    • Thank you very much, Ingrid. 🙂

I like photography too but that’s true that we rarely take time to make something with them like a book or a special digital album with a nice selection etc.
I like that sketching and watercolor painting is not something we do on a computer or in front of a screen. 😉

Yes, I feel very lucky to live in Brittany. 😀

  3. I enjoyed looking through your lovely sketchbook. The muted yet still vibrant colors are dreamy! Inspiring!

    • Thank you for your compliments, Debbie ! 😉
I am happy that you like my sketchbook and that you took some time to chat here with me. 🙂

  4. Wonderful, incredibly beautiful! I’m a great admire of your art! Thank you for sharing it!
