Watercolor Sketchbook DIY Tutorial!!

Hey what’s up?! 😃 As for me, I have been working on some quite exciting tutorials related to watercolor sketching lately!! 😛
I am so happy to share them with you. 🎉😝

As usual, these days, they are video tutorials, as it’s really the better way for me to show you stuff! 😊😉

But before sharing the tutorials with you, important thing. 😌
Some people told me they didn’t really know how to find the videos on their own, and how to to get notified about them and everything – and that’s essential, as I made quite a lot of videos in addition to these ones : about the color choices for my watercolor palette, sketchbook tours, watercolor demos, a lot of good stuff!! 😛
I offer 2 to 3 videos a week so I really can’t share them all and make a newsletter for each of them here on my blog. 😊 Continue reading

Sketchcrawl day in Lorient

Last Saturday, I went to Lorient, another city in Brittany, to attend the 53rd Worldwide Sketchcrawl! 😃

We were very lucky with the weather, as we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunny day on this 22nd October! ☺️☀️
It was really nice to meet all the other sketchers. There are quite a few that I already know, now, as we met in several Breton cities for some Sketchcrawls or sketching meetings. This is really friendly! 😊

For a good start, in the morning, we found a sunny spot in a lovely square, with some nice houses from the thirties.
I especially liked the shadow casted on the wall but, at last, I really liked sketching the whole scene (btw : the house really was blue).
I am especially happy with the way I managed to add the windows wet in wet. 😌😝😊 And with the granulations. 😉

I was inspired, too, by painting this sketcher in a strong back light, as Hazel Soan does in this video. 😉
I like the urban sketching feeling this addition gives to the page.

Last video from the USK Symposium, with Nina Johansson.

Here we are! This is the 5th and last video I upload about the Urban Sketcher Symposium which took place in Manchester last July.
All good things come to an end! 🙂

Today, Nina Johansson is our common thread and we follow the progress of her sketch of the “The Salutation” pub, throughout the video.

We spend some time, too, with my new adorable sketching friends, Deborah and Clara…
Fun crazy “selfie videos” to expect!!! 😉 Continue reading
