Watercolor Sketchbook DIY Tutorial!!

Hey what’s up?! 😃 As for me, I have been working on some quite exciting tutorials related to watercolor sketching lately!! 😛
I am so happy to share them with you. 🎉😝

As usual, these days, they are video tutorials, as it’s really the better way for me to show you stuff! 😊😉

But before sharing the tutorials with you, important thing. 😌
Some people told me they didn’t really know how to find the videos on their own, and how to to get notified about them and everything – and that’s essential, as I made quite a lot of videos in addition to these ones : about the color choices for my watercolor palette, sketchbook tours, watercolor demos, a lot of good stuff!! 😛
I offer 2 to 3 videos a week so I really can’t share them all and make a newsletter for each of them here on my blog. 😊

So here is a quick how to, in order to subscribe to the channel and getting notified for the videos. 😎

❖ Just click on this special link and, normally, you will get a pop up window asking you if you want to subscribe to the channel.
So, if you want to follow me, just click on “Subscribe”.
This will make my videos appear in your YouTube feed but not getting you notified about them each time they are published…

❖ So, on the Channel page, click on the little bell to the right and that’s it, you will get notified! 😀 👍

❖ Last thing, if you are not sure how YouTube will notify you and want to be sure to get the info the way you want, follow this link and choose whatever option you prefer, like on the capture below. “Push” means a notification on your phone or your tablet when the video is published, and “Email” is more the regular way, if you are mostly on your computer. 😊 If you are not sure, you can select both together.

So, this is it for the more technical tutorial!! 😅
Hope that helps. 😊

The fun part is now to watch the videos, of course!!! 🎉😃

I wanted to feature especially the SKETCHBOOK TUTORIAL in this article, because it was such a requested one and I have been wanting to do it for years! Each time I was preparing my sheets and binding my sketchbooks, I was thinking “I definitely have to make a video about it one day”.
I am so excited it exists now!!! 😝 Some people already told me they followed the tutorial and it was great, so I am the happier person on Earth!!! 😁

Please click on the image below or HERE to watch the videos. 😊
There are two videos about the sketchbook making and one video about how to choose the right size and orientation (portrait or landscape) for your sketchbook. 😊 I hope you will like it, please tell me!! 😃

And, then, feel free to check the other videos to watch me paint, have a peak to ma palette, my brushes, my sketchbooks… everything!! 😀

  1. Thanks for this, I subscribed and watched the journal videos… looking forward to viewing all your videos… I did a 15 second video yesterday and it took forever to load, I can’t imagine how long it takes to film, edit and upload long videos like this. Could you share what you use to edit your videos?

    • Hi Elaine,

Thanks a lot of the watching and the subscribing!
I hope you will like the other videos!! I am really excited about each of them.

Yeah, the technical side is sometimes tough!! A fast computer and connection are needed for this. I am lucky I already had the setting for my photographic and book creating work (big photo files, sending them to the editor, working on my websites…) but I struggle quite a lot with the storage because the videos shots and projects are so big and so heavy!!… I just started to figure it out.

Previously, I was working on iMovie, on my Mac and I bought Final Cut Pro X for more editing options in January.

      Hope that helps!

  2. Anne-Laure,
I am an American who really enjoys your YouTube videos. I am not a subscriber to YouTube, so I thought I would send this thumbs up to you via an email. Thank you for making them and sharing them. I follow the urban sketchers, and I have taken online courses from some of the instructors. Maybe someday it will be your turn to create an online course, yes? You are very talented, and may I add your personality bubbles through the screen.

    • Hi Janis,
Thanks for your message! Comments and emails are nice too (btw, I think that if you have a google account with email and so on, though, you can easily subscribe to YouTUbe channels and then get the notification by email if you like, but maybe that’s not what you want?! ).

I am so happy and so proud you talked about me making an online course. Thank you so much!
Yes, I have had this project for a while and I really think I will try to do it for real this year… So stay tuned!!!!

Thanks a lot for your compliments. I am glad and grateful I manage to make my creativity and personality shine through the screen. Trying my best to! 😉

  3. Thank you so much for sharing so much with us. I get so excited when I see you have posted a new video. You are so inspiring. I just love the loose style you use and your colors. You paintings are so lively. I would love to see you do a course!!!!

  4. Love your work and appreciate the notice on videos. When I followed your links, but they went to Google, not to YouTube.
